MT4 1320 Toolbars Disappear

Recently the toolbars have begun disappearing whenever I restart MT4. Any idea why? They used to stay put. Thanks.

For me it looks like this (MT5):
Via [Menu/View/Toolbar] I can show and hide the toolbars.
MT5 remembers the setting for the next restart.


If a particularly hard program crash happens, MT5 leaves an unclean environment.
After that MT5 always starts with hidden toolbars, no matter if they were shown during the last run or not.


Workaround: Reinstall.  


I suspect that the file '\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\XnnnnnX\config\terminal.ini' gets corrupted. However, I have not been able to isolate this further.

I had similar problem and solve it this way :

  1. Terminal started. 
  2. File menu->Open Data Folder
  3. Double click on "Config" to open the folder.
  4. Close the MT5 terminal.
  5. Delete the file Terminal.ini
  6. Restart your Terminal, problem should be fixed (you could have to set your toolbars/windows as you like the first time).
