Which Drive to Install MT5 (C:, D:) ?

Hi

I got a new PC and i'm wondering which drive would be better to install Metatrader 5 ?

Is it the standard main SSD drive (C:) ? or is it better to install it on a separate non-SSD, non-external drive (D:) ? (so that it optimizes the speed access by using two drives)

I don't know enough about how MT5 works to know the answer, so I need specialists...

thanks so much

Jeff

Hi,

I'm not really an expert for the MT5 installation but based off my experience MetaTrader 5 run better, quicker and smoother on a SSD compared to a normal HDD.

You will notice the speed of backtesting strategies, just took under 2 minutes to backtest 1 year data.

Just my two cent opinion.

You can install MT5 on which ever drive you want. You can then move the Data Folder to the SSD.

The MT5 bases folder can be easily moved else where.
