finally got it working,

if there was a phone number to call or an actual support email to contact, I would not have wasted 3 days, guess I'll have to get use to the company ghosting and doing things on my own

Check your firewall and allow MT4.  Worked for me.

The broker list will not populate on to enter a live account, only MetaQuotes Software corp.  


I asked for help from MQL5 but the were not at all interested in helping me with their product, shot me down and directed me to this forum


software is upto date, I deleted and reinstalled, still nothing,  works fine and connected ok on my iPhone, but nothing on pc, and no help whatsoever from MT4


is there something in settings I can do?  there is zero help from the platform

I found that if you search up 3 or less letters of the broker name then nothing will happen as in the list will not populate with possible servers, but if you type in 4 or more letters then it populates. Hope that helps.
