I'm wanting to use MQL5 virtual hosting to run an EA I purchased in 2016, but when I try to set this up it fails with "Migration to virtual hosting failed: old EX4 file version." Then it tells me to recompile the EA and migrate again. But I am not the EA vendor -- I don't have the source for it.
Note: the main reason I want to use MQL5 virtual hosting is for the reduced latency to my new broker's MT4 server in London, as my current VPS (where I have the EA installed) is located in NY. One solution would be to get a new VPS in London, but that would require me to use up my one remaining activiation for the EA, which I really don't want to do if at all possible.
Is there any solution to this that doesn't require me to use my last EA activation?
Thanks in advance ...
