hello, how does it look like in contrast the regular stochastic? Could you pls attach a picture? Thank you very much!

I do not do that (compare the pictures or the visuals). That you (or any other metatrader 5 user) can do on metatrader 5 terminal (provided that you use metatrader 5) in a matter of seconds hence no need to post any further pictures ...

I do compare the math models used to calculate the desired values and use those math models in the code - if the math models are different. For that here is some further information and some links links that you might find useful :

  • the description of the original stochastic oscillator : Stochastic Oscillator - by Dr. George Lane
  • the stochastic calculated as the built in stochastic : Stochastic Oscillator
  • the same (official stochastic) code you can find in your "examples" folder of the indicators folder when you install metatrader 5
  • the article describing the Double-smoothed stochastic by William Blau : Double Smoothed Stochastic - William Blau
  • the code at this code base entry that you can check for the math used to calculate the Double Smoothed Stochastic from the above article

Hope this will help you in your quest ...

The Stochastic Oscillator technical indicator compares where a security’s price closed relative to its price range over a given time period. The Stochastic Oscillator is displayed as two lines. The main line is called %K. The second line, called %D, is a Moving Average of %K. The %K line is usually displayed as a solid line and the %D line is...
