For me, volumes in such representation are not yet a studied phenomenon - I am just sharing my thoughts out loud. My proposed variant should show a trend, and if it will be an alternative variant of TA and other indicators based on OHLC, why not use it as an independent tool?
Visual (here I mean in the mind) is good, but it is necessary to translate the whole thing into digital form to test hypotheses and continue generating new ones.
You are fundamentally mistaken (as far as I understand) in the methodology of using this indicator! It does not show the trend! It shows the number of buyers/sellers per time interval. I.e., for example:
First, try to find these formations on the screen and see what they lead to.
I.e. tick indicators based on real volumes are, roughly speaking, a trading backstage. Such an "explanation", what was the cause of this candle. And by analysing these explanations, you can learn a lot of new things.

So, am I a complete idiot and do not understand what the indicator does (even if I have read the article obliquely)? Why such an assessment - I am surprised.
Well, if you are not interested in my thoughts on this matter, I won't bother you, sorry.

Alexei, you take no offence. But, averaging data is not the way that leads to our goal).
Understanding the market is the right way. IMHO, of course.

Alexey, I did not call you anything. Do not take my criticism as an attempt to offend you. I'm just trying to clarify the logic of the indicator's work. And the logic, in my opinion, is to find an imbalance of effort and result. And in this case, you need to compare "pure" data. One of the options is to compare the data of candle size and delta size.
You can check it yourself! Just download the indicator and take a look. The total volume on the candlestick should be equal to the sum of buy and sell volumes. You can compare volumes by opening the terminal data window "ctrl+d".
Well, first of all, we need to understand that these are not volumes from futures. Why would they be real?
Well, first you have to realise that these aren't futures volumes. Why would they be real?
What? What are you talking about? Did you read the article? We are talking here about real, exchange volume from FORTS.

Partially. I have some left glass, so I didn't want to read the whole article. By the way, why do you have a bet with a large number of columns? I don't have it... and both in one real supplier and in the matakvot one downloaded here - to test everything.
I have a glass like this everywhere:

I have a glass like this everywhere:
Distinguish between forex, with currency pairs (this is a decentralised market), and the FORTS section of the Moscow Exchange (centralised market). In your screenshot you have a bet from forex, pound-dollar pairs. This article is useless for forex. This article is written to help you write indicators for the Moscow Exchange, or other centralised platforms, where there is data on the real traded volume.

I understand that perfectly. But the window doesn't have to be different. The columns should also be the same. And the fact that the regular pound will not have real data, it is understandable, because it is not futures.
The functionality of the glass differs depending on which market you are in.
