I just installed MT5 on each computer. Works fine. Just make sure you have the same network NAME called "xyz or workbook" if you dont you wontbe able to connect in WIN 7.
Right Click on MY Computer >Properties>Computer name, Domain, and workgroup settings>Change settings
Workgroup = CLOUD or MYHOME or Whatever as long as BOTH computers have the same name.
Confirm this: Control Panel> SEE FULL MAP > You should see both computers listed here (if not)
Right click on C harddrive > Properties>Sharing Tab>Advanced Sharing> Check Share this folder>permissions>Admins or Administrators (only admins can see files with password)
Check by clicking on Network: you should now see two computers. When you click on the computer it will ask you for an ADMIN name and ADMIN password then your in.
Note: You must be logged in as ADMIN to do any of the above changes.
Then run Metatrader as ADMIN Click ICON check ADMIN.
Just install the full version of MT5 then configure the IP address. Please use Static IPS...thats another chapter.

DNS: your ISP or opendns whatever pings fastest MS near you.
Most of you will be fine but if you want to share files you will need to do this ANYWAY.
