Candles Have Disappeared On Chart MT5 - page 2

methodx: I understand. This is a data feed issue, not a MetaTrader software issue. The problem is when this happens to demo accounts, people are going to have a negative perception of MetaTrader because the parent company is providing the feed. They really should fix the bugs or not provide a feed at all. Also, if brokers can pay to use MetaQuotes feed that is a whole other issue, because I assume these same glitchy trades are happening on live accounts.

Please stop confusing things and creating "panic" where there is none! That is not how it works! Neither the brokers nor MetaQuotes produce the data nor collect it from each other. They receive it form the "official" providers, and just redirect it to the customers. There could have been a glitch with the MetaQuotes servers that caused the issue.

Besides, newbie traders should be paper trading with broker feeds and not MetaQuotes feeds. The MetaQuotes feed is only there as an introduction and for application evaluation purposes. As soon as a new trader begins his "training and learning" process, they should be doing it with broker demo accounts (or even cents accounts), as the conditions (and data and trade operations) are at a completely different level of conditioning.

You are right. Though Metaquotes itself is confusing people with their "demo" account which is only available to get free beta testers.

To everyone : Metaquotes is NOT a broker, don't use it unless you know what you are doing. Use a demo account with a real broker, there are plenty.
