Hi,
I tried to install MT4 on Linux with WINE:
It asks for Server name, Login and password before installing MT4. I have seen on youtube people are showing installation without this information. If I do not have any broker account, how do I install MT4?
Thanks.
Hi,
Perhaps, there have been policy changes for new installations today.
Also, you will still need an account to try trading on linux
(^̮^)
Step 1 - Get linux
Step 2 - Get a MT4 Account
Step 3 - Download the brokers MT4
Step 4 - Install MT4 on to a windows directory folder (Programs)
Step 5 - Copy the installation folder across to the linux with all subfolders.
Step 6 - Launch the "terminal application" in the MT4 sub directory
Step 7 - Input your login credentials on request
The installation will not work perfectly on Linux but will do the job.
Good luck
Maybe you can try to use the search function because there are already many topics about this.
Thanks a lot for your hint. Actually, the problem was my wine version was old (1.6). I installed new (2.....) and works just fine.
