MT4 installation crashes

Hi everyone, it's my first post and I hope I am not in the wrong forum. Problem is, I just downloaded mt4setup,exe from metaquotes.net but it does not start on my system (Win 10). Same problem with MT5.
In the event log I see errors but they do not contain any specific message, maybe someone can point me into the right direction. Thanks!

Windows cannot access file "" because of one of the following problems:

  • There is a problem with the network connection.
  • There is a problem with the hard disk drive on which the file is stored.
  • There is a problem with the storage drivers that are installed on the computer.
  • The hard disk drive is missing.
 

I have the same issue! can't install the program.  I'm on the latest version of windows 10 (64bit)

 

I assume you're trying to install programs under a user account that's not authorized to do so. No worries though because you can run MT in "portable mode". Just copy the files to a folder and create a shortcut to run the terminal in portable mode.
