Is there any real difference between downloading mt4 from metaquotes and then adding my own account details and downloading it direct from my broker ?
The reason I ask is I had some problems with mt4 freezing up when I downloaded it from my broker which didnt appear to happen when I downloaded it from metaquotes.com, I did have some problems with the history not getting saved with the metaquotes version but i think that was my own fault for deleting all the history files.
I have had to do a new clean install of windows due to a hard drive failure and i need to install mt4 again so i was wondering if there is really any good reason not to download mt4 from metaquotes rather than from my broker ?
