How to set up 7 Minute, 8 Minute and 9 Minute charts on MT5 platform. - page 2

Mladen Rakic:

No sense in what you are asking - read the previous post

But if you are so sure that you are right , you could always go here : https://www.mql5.com/en/job and have it made for you the way you imagined it. At least then you will know why a free advice is sometimes really the best advice

Thank you for the link. I will try it.

It is actually a very simple process to construct a 7, 8 or 9 minute chart. The value 60 is NEVER EVER used in this process. All you have are the minutes in time - unlimited number of them in the future(or past minutes you have the data for). For example the 7 minute chart: You take the open, high, low, and close for the first 7 minutes and you plot a candle. Then for the next 7(or 8 or 9) minutes, ad infinitum. That´s it. Very simple.     :-)

In this way you can construct a candle/s of any imaginable length in minutes, etc.

Let me guess : you just started the whole TA trip. It NEVER EVER fails (the intoxication with the sudden "ground braking" ideas that nobody else - out of the thousands and thousands doing that same thing - have NEVER EVER came upon and which are SOOOO simple to see when the TA is discovered for the first time).

Good luck :)

:-) :-) :-) Actually not (I apologise for the capital letters NEVER EVER - that's unforgivable).

After a typical losing start, I have been demo trading for 8200 hours - 17 hours a day for the last two years - and have developed excellent trading rules. Sometimes the 6 Minute chart is the most appropriate chart for €/$ market activity. It gives the valid signal the earliest. Sometimes this valid signal is next given on the 10 minute chart - the next time frame available on the MT5.

I feel I would be aware of that market signal earlier if I were to have had the 7, 8 or 9 minute charts. That is the reason I am asking about the possibility of constructing a 7, 8 and 9 minute chart.

Or better yet : I am this guys https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srinivasa_Ramanujan reincarnation :)

The wonder of internet : we can be whatever we imagine to be

WOW! :-)

The only thing I beat Wolfram in is hair. I have more than he has :-)

Otherwise, after careful consideration, I must agree: it appears that he is (you are) the better.  :-)

(The Euro is crashing. I have to watch that. )

I aim to be re-reincarnated as Paul Tudor Jones :-)

Only this time in the double exponential format :-)

Now I notice MLQ5 does not even have the formula for double exponential.
