MT4 - MT5 compatibility?
Safe and useless.
- You can put the file in the proper location but it won't show up because of the wrong extension.
- I doubt it would run if all you do is change the extension.

I would just like to empahasize that I did NOT attempt to change the extensions....
there are a few websites offering (alleged) MT5 Indicator dowloads which have MT4 extensions!

Hello Peoples,
Please; - it it safe to attempt to install an Indicator hich was written in MT4 into an MT5 system?
I ask this as I have browsed associated documentation... but cannot find a specific answer.
I have find (alleged) "MT5 Installs" with MT4 extensions - this is somewhat alarming!
I obviousy require the Indicator to function correctly and do not wish to corrupt the MT5 installation.
Perhaps I am being over-cautious; - but better safe than sorry, so your advice please.
