Weight Watchers Q4 profit beats estimates. Co reported a fourth-quarter net income of $47.6 mln, or 62 cents per share, compared with $39.8 mln, or 50 cents per share, a year ago.

Sigma Designs profit tops estimates. Co Q4 adj EPS was $0.38 vs est $0.18.

PetSmart Inc. said that its fourth-quarter profit rose to $78.4 mln, or 62 cents a share, from $75.4 mln, or 59 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $1.36 bln from $1.33 bln last year.

Traders experienced a lack luster day in trading today, as we get off another new week in March. The deal between Merck and Schering-Plough got attention as well as, the deal with Dow Chemical and Rohm & Haas. Merger Monday as it was once known, before the economic downturn began, quite some time ago.
