Any guide on how to use the historical data after we have downloaded it? Please forgive is question sounds silly, am still new in Forex
Doesn't sound silly to me. I always forget how to import the ticks myself.
Ok, import the data by go to: Tools menu > History Center. Select appropriate pair/timeframe and you can import from there by clicking Import button. You can even delete bad/duplicated data. Restart MetaTrader, and you're set to go.

Hi - I'm trying to backwards test an EA but having trouble finding good historical data. The link that I see recommended everywhere is just leading to their sitemap now (https://www.mql5.com/go?link=http://www.alpari-idc.com/en/dc/databank.php)
Does anybody have historical data for GBPJPY for atleast the last year (longer would be even better)?
