Attaching indicators to MT4 Build 840

I downloaded Manhattan Beach Trading's MT4 into a new laptop, Dell XPS13. Initially I was unable to attach indicators that came from outside MT4, such as MACD Cross or Ehlers Fisher transform histo_mtf+alerts (nonrep) nmc. The problem was that after I filled out the parameters box and clicked the OK button, nothing would happen. I don't know whether this is due to a glitch in MT4 Build 840--I previously used 830--or to my having a trial version of MacAffee antivirus instead of the usual Avast or to some safeguard in the new computer.

I found a way around the problem. After filling out the parameters box and clicking the OK button, if the indicator does not attach to the chart, wait 2 to 3 minutes and click OK again. If the indicator still does not attach, click on MT4 outside the box. The box will "shimmy" for 2 or 3 seconds before stabilizing. While the box is still shimmyhing, click the OK button. The indicator should attach to the chart
