  • EUR 62K short versus short 61K last week.  Short increased by 1K
  • GBP 43K short versus short 52K last week.  Shorts cut by 9K 
  • JPY 60K long versus long 52K last week. Longs increased by +8K on the week.
  • CHF 11K long versus long 15K last week.  Longs cut by -4K on the week.
  • CAD 8K long versus long 3K last week.  Longs increased by +5K on the week
  • AUD 2K short versus short 7K last week. Shorts cut by 5K on the week
  • NZD 3K short versus short 3K last week. No change on the week

  • CAD 17K long versus 12 K long last week. Long's increased by 5K.

  • GBP 74K short versus 60K short last week. Shorts increase by 14K.
  • JPY 39K  long versus 48K Long last week. Longs fall by 9K.
  • CHF 4.7K long versus 6.7 K long last week. Longs fall by 2K
  • AUD 33K long versus 16K last week. Longs increase by 17K
  • NZD 2.2 long versus 1.0 K Long last week. Longs increase by 1.2K.
The EUR shorts have been increasing since reaching -21.8K short in the week of May 10, 2016.

  • GBP 81K short versus 74K short last week.
  • JPY 34K long versus 64K long last week.
  • CHF 1K long versus 4.7K  long last week.
  • CAD 23K long versus 22K long last week.
  • AUD 26k long versus 33k long last week.
  • NZD 0.2k long versus 2.2K short last week

With the hindsight of the Fed and GDP, it's clear that the market got ahead of itself in euro and GBP shorts. Those are some big positions.

On the other hand, the market has been betting on the yen for awhile and that continued to be a winner after a few weeks of pain.
