When a trend start to move the price, most of the trader jump to ride it and it takes the price more in that direction so it is said trend is the friend because you can make some good money.
The trend is your friend, but not always. There are times when you follow the trend and win. there are also times when you follow the trend and lose. Just manage your risk.
Well, the range can be your friend too, but you have to know how to trade it.
Trends, specifically, offer a safer proposition. All you have to do is gauge the likelihood that the trend will continue long enough so you can hit your target. Then you just wait for a retraction and check to see if it rebounds. Enter. The trend, especially on longer time frames, is the closest thing to a "sure thing" there can ever be in Forex.
Just remember, it's your friend till it ends.
Also, keep in mind that a trend that you see on one time frame could be a retraction on a longer time frame. You really have to look at the currency pair as a whole, across all its major time frames. It would be foolish to enter a 15M trend that's a H4 retraction.

Trend is our Friend only if we could identify correctly in proper time otherwise it is our enemy !!!
Trend is our friend if we follow it carefully . we can not fight against it . If we go against the trend we willface its results in loss. We should go with trend to get sufficient profit. Not go so high that sudden change will make you sad when you will loose your amount.
Trend is always necessary to follow, you can see that in a strong trend, all of the big candles can be seen in line with the major trend and when market moves in corrective state, then only small candles will appear, its a sign that trend trading will yield more.
