Now when brokers can turn off and on your EAs at their will, the answer seems to be obvious
The use of forex robot is by choice . With forex robot trading can be easy because a forex robot can make trades for you when you put in the necessary needed information. But with the availability of forex robot most traders especially the experienced ones still prefers manual trading.
Why using EA?
First step first : manual trading is the mother of all trading. And once when you learn it, you will never leave it
It is not very necessary to have a forex robot it is all about individual preferences. Robot trading can also be very profitable but most traders prefer manual trading.
Of course it is not, you can trade manually and be successful as long as your strategy is the right one. With or without a robot your trading results will depend on your strategy used.

That is what people are forgetting : EA is about strategy and MM. If it does something automatically it does not necessarily mean that it does it netter than human
and some EAs are just too fast for brokers, and end up classified as arbitrage, so its a harsh section i guess.
Using a robot is not mandatory and is not very essential instead it depends on each traders preference. But most trader prefer to trade by themselves for them to have total control of their trades instead of relying on robot .
Now when they detect and stop your EA at will, maybe the question should be opposite : should we use EAs at all?
