Works just fine on my computer, Windows 7 Home Premium. Also I tend to test every demo platform from brokers I can find. Still haven't find any big problems with neither of them that my os was causing, so in my opinium the problem is not in your windows in general. Re-intall it, no need to jumo to win-xp again.

I've use Metatrader on Win7 Ultimate and Pro for a couple of years no problem but I have noticed that some programs do not run on win7 and you need to set the Properties of the exe to Compatibility Mode (do right click over the exe and pick Properties and choose Compatibility tab) and run as Win XP SP3. This fixes all problems with older programs that fail to run on WIN7.
