Trending Pairs
I guess it depends on your timeframe. I look at the weekly and have found GBP/JPY, EUR/JPY, and AUD/USD to be trending. They were all in consolidation for years and are currently trending. I like the GBP/JPY for systems because it runs very well in both directions even in an up trending market.

yes, it depends on the timeframe and also which year we are talking abt...the market dynamics keep changing and no currency pair will keep trending or ranging forever...
i prefer four majors
GBPJPY has been my favourite pair for two years!
Look at a weekly chart, zoom out and draw your trendlines. Always be ready to change your opinion of a pair.
