Typical price or Pivot Point MA??

I just started reading John Personsnew book called: Forex Conquered High Probability Stratagies.... It is a very excellent book on forex trading, unlike some recent books on TA in fx.

He does alot of trading centered around pivot points. He likes to use something he calls a pivot point moving average. He uses a 3 period and a single period MA. At first I thought it would be to small of periods for the MA- the averaging of price smooths the action etc..

His definition is for:

( H + L + C)/3

Doeas any moving average indicator already have a input for this function??

I know with VTTRADER they have something called "Typical Price" for a input variable with the ma. I am using a metatrader broker though.

Any help or thoughts is very appreciated!

Thanks again,

M Rippy
