Well, I guess it's all academic whether an advertising thread may or may not have existed before - I figure the moderator was just enforcing the rules:

I'm not meaning to be rude, but I'm still not sure why you don't just take jobs in Freelance. That seems far more likely to result in work than posting on a forum full of people who do their own coding.
