Supposed I were to make a program which would open countless small trades, not at the same time, through the day, sometimes over a thousand, would a broker be able to keep up?

I'm asking because in demo trading it looks fun and all but I reckon some of you do have the experience with simmilar matters so I'm asking here.

Not practical since thousands of orders will (usually) go into negative by the time you able to close it. So, if you want to try, go ahead in real account.

Why don't you try in demo first? Though like you have been told, number of orders is limited.

Depends on broker. Some broker don't limit at all. The problem with unlimited trades lies when you got a winning trades and you want to close it.
