Hi, what API are you using to get the data that is displayed with metatrader?

MT4 or MT5 . . there is no official API.

Sure I mean, where is MT4 getting his data from. It is not like they are generating the values ( e. g. the exchange rate of EUR/USD ) on their own, what source are they using for it.

MT4 is getting it's data from the Broker it is connected to. There is no central market for Forex so the Broker controls his own data.
