[Offtopic] Terminology question

Hi folks,

I have been searching about this for a while, please forgive me for the offtopic since english is not my mother tongue.

What is the "trader's lingo" for "Closing half position once the profits cover the initial risk"?

Some people call it position halving, others call it breakeven but I'm not very sure which is the technical term.

Answers appreciated!

Cheers.

Closing half = partial close. Doesn't need to be 1/2

BreakEven = moving SL to open price.
