Inconsistencies of Strategy Tester
How are you fixing the Spread ?
Try the test using the macd sample EA. If the results are consistant with it, you will know the problem lies within your EA code or that of indicators your EA is calling.
Be aware, the control points method of modelling gives only a crude estimate of the efficiency of EA's that trade within the bar. (According to the documentation).

Sometimes I'll test an EA, get good results. then not change a thing, press start again, and have different results.
Also, sometimes I use every tick method and the account balance goes down to zero. Then I'll do Control Points and get amazing results.
I can't continue to work on my EAs until I've figured out how to stop getting completely different results from the strategy tester on the same EA.
Can someone please help me with this?
