This is definitely something good coming out of this thread. You need to go LIVE at some point, pennies or mega-bucks. But you also have to understand that if your on the opposite side of the market for most or breakeven time than not, don't habitually end up looking for the answers in the EA, logic, strategies, test, opt, etc, what have you. Because, my gut feelings tell me, its just probably the lack and little known experience in this game.
This game, you need an awful lots of experience, and even 10 years worth of noticing patterns, changes, moves and signals, etc - I will say, you only can make a 20% cut on annum (if you get to survive a year), and if you're lucky enough to stumble on some consistency. To date, I have only seen 1 piece of EA that does so, however, the drawdown was too crazy for any small guy's risk.
If you have never, ever been on the trading floor, brokerages, middle offices, etc, yet you throw yourself into this, my advice is - start with your smallest pennies but the most precious ones. Take each penny worth like tens of grand. You may be out of job, desperate for income, in debt, or just out of freedom, etc, all the more better. Because that persevering attitude to earn for yourself, WILL create your winning strategy. The question is just how, when, where and who gets you there.
I know of people and my own colleagues who lost their jobs, swallowed tons of pains in their lives - started out all over again with $1000, then $2000, then $5000, and all that blown away, after years of hard work. Finally, with their last $100, trading on 0.1 micro lot, they made something out of it. And mind you, those are experienced traders... what more the inexperienced like most of us.

I do get your point, I've been doing this for about 6 years now, and this is as far as i've gotten. Before i used to be very secretive with my EAs, and they were all failures(not a profitable EA). "Wisdom is knowing how little we know", hence i'm opening the doors to new knowledge, by sharing the EA in this forum and it's quite interesting to read everyone's view

6 years is a not a short time, c0d3. Its over half a decade. 6 years ago, I was someone else, definitely trading forums like this, appreciate greatly. But all that is the past, not for anyone to know.
The same for you. No one needs to know esp yourself, how you ended up here since 6 years ago. Move on. If its new knowledge in trading, as you mentioned, that you seek for next 6 or more of your years, you can never find in Internet, forums. All you get about trading is mostly rubbish.
Seek them in the pits, the quants rooms, the brokerage store, the switches, etc, etc, those places which are boiling with condors and murex and prophets and reuters quotes, etc. These places, no matter who you are - even if you're the janitor, I suppose - is where all that "new" knowledge you can stumbled on everyday. You WILL be shocked just to know, where exactly your strategy had been for 6 years. I cant tell you, just as everyone here can't either. But just by hearing behind those walls only, you will be far ahead than most of us. RGds

I am still working on your EA. I got distracted with my own. Here are my last three days of trades in a small real acct that I use to test with on my VPS. The 24th and 25th was one EA running on 4 pairs, EURUSD,AUDUSD, NZDUSD and EURAUD. I have been testing a second EA, last night I switched the EA's on EURUSD,AUDUSD and NZDUSD with the newer one that has a different stratagy then the first one. I am trying to generate a few more trades and also balance out different market conditions. You can't really test that in stratagy tester.They are both close to 1:1 ratio, the orginal one is slightly better then 1:1 and the newer one is slightly less the 1:1.
I have no open transactions, my return so far this week is apporx 3.7% for the three days. I also run a demo acct locally with the same setup. I had 25 more trades in addtion to the ones below on that acct, 20 more winners and 5 losers. It's amazing the difference between real and demo. I sat at my desk today and watched the real and demo at the same time. You see ssmall differences in candle patterns, which can mess with both of my EA's. The prices on the demo are perfect, no slippage, etc. On the real acct, just doing a quick look, I see slippage all over the place. My entries and exits are off by 1 or 2 pips in most cases compared to the demo.
The total profit was 37.04 which should be around 350+ pips.

win to loose ratio here is really good, i'm surprised with the differences between demo and real, pretty similar to what i have seen before.
What do you think so far, based on the performance? Will it keep making profits, or will it give it all back?
I know you have worked on these EAs, but would you be comfortable with sharing them here?
