Strategy Tester Limitation

Is there any documentation on MetaTrader 4 Strategy Tester limitations?

I'm optimizing a combination of more than 10496 in the Strategy Tester, does it mean that optimization stop after 10496? What actually happen to the combinations after 10496?

Turn off "genetic algorithm".

 

Don't turn off genetic unless you want to run those sextillion conbinations.

The 10496 is a minimum. As long as it keeps getting better results it will keep running.

Mine currently says: 17391/10496 (892 374 602 235 060 740)

If you find that optimizing is taking too long, do it 'one variable at a time' rather than 'all combinations of all 10 variables'
