Bug in MT4 software tester

Hello

I have been getting strange behaviour from the MT4 Strategy Tester. I started testing an EA with 1 years of historical data at a time. 2001-2002: fine, 2002-2003: fine, 2003-2004: fine, 2004-2005:fine, 2005-2006: fine, 2006-2007:fine.

Then I decided to test with 6 years worth of data: 2001-2007. Strategy Tester closed the test run out a few months into 2001. When I tried to go back to testing just one years data, it did the same thing.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing: no joy.

Please note: THERE WERE NO CHANGES IN EA CODE BETWEEN TEST RUNS!!!!!!

Is this a known bug? Is Metaquotes aware of it, and doing something about it? Is there a workaround in the meantime?

I am using version 4 build 226 from alpari.

Probable reason is tester caches corruption.
Just delete "../tester" folder and rerun terminal.

Yep. Tried that. Same behaviour. I've attached a screenshot of how the error looks on the graph. While running through Strategy Tester, it appears as if it does not go through all the data/ticks.

<----Why does this happen???

 

Need to look into the others tabs of Strategy Tester.

 
When the test ends, all open orders are closed. You had 2 orders closed at a huge loss. The two lines being largely seperate, show multiple open orders at the same time.
