bokers vs marker makers

borkers are indifernt wheter you loose or win, either ways they get their pips comission.

with market makers it's quite differnt strory, each pip you win they loose, though they all

will tell you the b la bla bla .... that you play aginst other players and they want you to win.

use your head, they are just the kasino owners they loose when sombody wins so they will

do whatever they can to avoid you form taking profit . good luck

How can you tell the difference between them both?....I think every broker in a way is a Market maker, isn't it?

broker/dealer

Any individual or firm in the business of buying and selling securities for itself and others.

When acting as a broker, a broker/dealer executes orders on behalf of his/her client.

When acting as a dealer, a broker/dealer executes trades for his/her firm's own account.

Securities bought for the firm's own account may be sold to clients or other firms, or become a part of the firm's holdings.

Not really. Some brokers take your trades onto their books, i.e. "betting against you". Some brokers pass on your trades to a liquidity provider and don't care whether you win or lose. Some do both (an "A book" and a "B book"), usually determined by your account size. For more information, see for example the following page from Metaquotes's US and UK distributor: http://www.gold-i.com/metatrader/MT4_trading_Methods.htm. If your broker is betting against you, it's nothing personal. It's just a numbers game based on the fact that most retail forex traders lose money.
