error getting data to server.........?

Hi,

New to meta trader4, & all seems to be well except in my chart screen it says (error getting data to server) what does that mean?

I shoul mention that i am running an expert advisor aswell.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the message is on your chart, then the error is coming from your EA, and what it means would depend on the EA.


MT4 doesn't write errors to the chart, as far as I know.

 

Hi, I'm in the same boat.

I've set up a MT4 demo account and installed phapturbo50 EA. It seems to install ok but when i drag it into a chart i get the following;

I also seemed to have trouble getting the necessary expert ID.

Could this be a firewall issue?

Would appreciate any help. Thanks,

This is not an error I have seen with MQ4. Mq4 errors would would say

ERR_NO_CONNECTION 6 No connection with trade server.

or

ERR_SERVER_BUSY 4 Trade server is busy.


and it would be notified in the journal or experts tab and not up in the chart.

Perhaps it is a phapturbo issue. You should direct your question to the vendor.
