MT4 Gold loading issues

I've recently installed MT4 on my Mac, connected to my server but if I bring up the gold chart All I get is "Waiting for Update" on a black screen. This happens on both a my live account and my demo account. MT4 on my iPhone works just fine, but id like it on my Mac also. Any ideas would be appreciated.
