Can I run Meta Trader as the 64-bit application for Windows x64 Vista or x64 XP ?

My questions are:



1/. Will Meta Trader run properly on MS Windows Vista Home Premium OEM 64-bit ?

2/. I would like to know also if can I run Meta Trader under MS Windows Vista Home Premium OEM 64-bit operating system as 64-bit application ?



Please for the answer only experienced users...



 

I run MT4 on XP64

MT4 is a 32 bit application so it does not take advantage of the 64bit environment.

Do you know if the newest version (of Meta Trader 5) will be 64 bit and when it will be done?

 
I doubt there will be an x64 version, and my guess for when we will see something is about 2009/3/31

No x64 because nobody does x64 unless they absolutely have to.

3/31/2009 - After ATC 2008, after Holidays, 6 months before ATC 2009, 2-3 months 2009 testing with Dealers, 1 year after first "official" mention that MQL5 / MT5 even exists... Just a guess...

when you say MT4, is it the Client terminal?


could I run the client terminal on a x64 machine machines ?


I understand that I will not benefit from the 64bits features but run as a 32 bits program

By 'MT' or 'MT4', we generally mean the Client Terminal
MT Server or Bridge would be stated as such

As Phy says, MT works fine on XP-64 bit

This fuc**ng software does not work under Windows Vista 64 BIT. I have a lot of problems. For example I can not change the period on the chart from 1 Minute into 1 Week or 1 Month - it always hang Meta Trader !


Patch into 64 Bit appliactions please or for VISTA
