Can MT4 Automatically Buy & Sell at set price levels, 805 Pips captured 1 lot this month AUD/USD, based on price, no indicators, I call it Pure Price Trading :-)

Hi all,

I wrote this last night, but somehow it failed to post I think, so excuse me if this turns up twice somewhere.

I am not new to the Forex, but am relatively new to Automated Trading, what I need to do is automate a few trading strategies that I have developed over the last 6-7 months that to me are consistently profitable. I believe that to be profitable in this business you at least have to be trading consistently, your strategy will not always be right (the pips capture above is with this strategy running at 52% right for the month) but placing trades when your strategy tells you too, will help you become a more consistent profitable trader, With a full time job, a house renovation & my first baby only 10 weeks away this is harder to do then said, hence the reason I am writing this again late at night.


I have spent a bit of time now trying to read as much as possible on this site, & am starting to read the BOOK on EA's hopefully learning to write EA's myself one day tho its going to take a bit of time :( I may even look into paying someone to write some for me as I progress thru the learning curve.


What I would like to know now is, can an EA Buy & Sell at set price levels as soon as they are touched, as like a limit/ stop order, or maybe better put in a limit or stop order as the market approaches with say 20-40 pips of the price I want to sell or buy at, this would reduce slippage then direct market orders.


Ok I have spent a LOT, LOT of time studying/watching the Forex market, I have previously slept with my laptop in bed with me, & awake every so often just to see what the market is doing or as when an alarm would go off I would awake at some stupid hr like 2am in the morning just to place a trade, then start work at 6am, So over time I have picked up on a few things & based most of my strategies on Buying & Selling at certain price levels, The one i'm talking about now is based on 2 set price levels that repeat themselves, & only has one rule for entry,

it does not use indicators of any sort, no Trend lines, Fibs, Support/Resistance lines, Candle Formations, Pivot Points etc, just pure price levels. :)

the stop is place 25 pips away, & I risk no more then 2.5-3% of account, I only use 1 regular lot per every $10,000 dollars increase in capital.

the stop is only moved to break even when the market has moved 40 pips away from entry & stays there until trade complete, or exit at break even, only 4 trades this month went over 40 pips then returned to break even point. so are not included in table below of trading results. trades visually taken from a live trade account & actual price levels excluded, spread accounted for.

yes, if that is what the EA code says to do.

 
Can u show a detailed statement or something like that??? (sorry but your post really shows nothing). And if u can prove that u have a good idea maybe i can help u.

I will write the EA if you will share your method - better still, send me your method with different price levels, i will write the EA and set it up on a demo account and give you the log in to show you the trades happening. You then know I can do it and you can send me the price levels. Of course if you do as seifer asks you will give away your price levels immediately.



Am I right in thinking you are using the same price levels all the time? How often do you vary them? If this is the case it will work in rangebound markets but what when you have a bull or bear run - I guess that is where you change your levels - on what basis?
