If it is not possible at present - is MQ considering adding this period for the next version? When is the net version planned for, by the way? I took a quick look at the API, ut it does not seem that the API is suitable for writing MT4 "plugins", i.e. a plugin which would add the 8hr period.
Now that I think of this - it will actually screw up lots of existing code, since you'll need to introduce a new constant PERIOD_H8 in MQL... Still think it is a very useful period and definitly need to be added...
