Intraday work is full of sentences like "the third candle after the open" or "it turned on bar seven". Counting them by hand on a five minute chart costs attention, and it goes wrong twice a year when the exchange and the broker server switch daylight saving on different dates. This indicator does the counting. It finds the cash open of the session you select, locates the first candle at or after that minute and writes a running number under every following candle of that day.
The conversion runs from exchange local time to UTC to broker server time. Frankfurt and London switch on the last Sunday of March and October, New York on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November, Tokyo never switches. The broker offset is read from the terminal and rounded to half hours, which covers every server time zone in use. The chart is never modified beyond the text objects the indicator creates and removes again when it is taken off.

GER40 M5: numbering starts at the Frankfurt cash open, the dotted line marks the anchor
Session selection is automatic by default. The symbol name decides: British indices use London, continental European indices Frankfurt, US indices New York, the Japanese index Tokyo. Symbols outside those groups fall back to Frankfurt and are marked as a guess in the info label. Every automatic choice can be overridden, and the manual mode takes a plain server time such as 15:30 for anything the name detection does not know.

The indicator is built for index CFDs and stock symbols that have a cash open: GER40, UK100, US30, NAS100, US500, JP225. Timeframes from M1 to H1 make sense, M5 and M15 are the usual choice for intraday work. On M1 set InpLabelEvery to 5 or 10, otherwise the numbers crowd each other. On Forex there is no cash open, so use the manual mode with a time that means something to you.
