hello, I have rented EA Hedger and need some help to understand some settings.
The Hedge settings "Loss, account currency"- If I set this to -2000.0, then when the hedge orders open, every hedge order has a stop loss when the loss is -2000USD, is this correct?
And more importantly, the Hedge settings "Trailing distance, account currency " - If I set this to 1000.0, then everytime the Hedge Orders gain 1000USD profit, then the stopp loss is modified to be -2000 USD behind the current value? So If my Hedge Order has gained 5000USD profit, then the stop loss is currently set to close order at +3000USD profit once the trend reverses?
For example, you have two positions: buy EURUSD and buy GBPUSD. These positions were hedged and the sell EURUSD and sell GBPUSD orders were opened. The total result is calculated for the hedging orders. For example, sell EURUSD + 10 $ and sell GBPUSD + 5 $, then the total result will be + 15 $. If you limit the loss by setting a value of -2000 $, then the sell EURUSD and sell GBPUSD hedging orders will close when the total result is -2000 $. This can be seen in the video in the description.
The answer to the question about trailing. When the profit of the hedge orders is $ 1000, the stop loss will move from $ -2000 to $ 0, that is, breakeven. When the profit of the hedge orders is $ 5,000, the stop loss will move to $ 4,000. The trailing value determines the starting point of the trailing and the distance.
Hello! Thank you for your attention to my product. I will definitely help you and answer your questions.

Thanks, in the video after the stopp loss has been reached you are then manually clicking "Close Hedge" and then "Close Positions", are these manual step necessary to close the hedge after stop loss has been reached? And what is the difference between these two close button, does Close Positions mean "Close All Hedge Positions" or does it close absolutely every position in the account, including the regular trading positions?

When I clicked the "Close Hedge" button nothing happened because it was closed by a stop. This is just a demonstration.
The "Close Positions" button closes all positions, including hedge orders.
Hi Sergej,
i just rented your product for the ea that i am using . my ea has a kind of martingale system if price moves upwards my pending sell orders are activated. i just want to avoid big drawdowns and i need to be sure about how to set up ''EA hedger''. for example if equity drawdown reaches -500 i want the ea hedger open a hedge trade with 50 percent of the open lots and if equity drawdown reaches -1000 i want ea hedger open another hedge trade with the remaining lots. but if price turns opposite, i want to loose a small amount like 50 usd and close the hedge trade. Then if equity again drops to -1000 for example another hedge trade need to be opened by the ea hedger...
if there is a breakeven function to close the hedge trade it will be way better i guess .. and also i am thinking that if we can divide the hedge trades like 5 piece or 10 with small lots and make smaller losses and breakevens we can minimize the drowdowns and losses .. but for now i guess we can setup 2 or 3 hedge trades with this version. which is enough also ..
So Sergej can you please suggest a set file according to my needs i dont wanna do a mistake at the beginning ..
Thanks ..

Hello! Thank you for your purchase. You did the right thing by contacting me for advice. I will help you set up your EA Hedger product and prepare the settings files. I hope my answers will be useful to you and other users with similar questions.
I plan to add a hedge order averaging function that will allow you to perform the step-by-step hedging that you mentioned. So far, this can only be done as I described above, using several copies of EA Hedger. I hope I was able to help you.
Thanks a lot Sergej ... that is more than i expected thanks for the great job!! averaging function is also a great idea!
For double hedging, you need to open two charts and install EA Hedger. This way you will have two EA Hedgers running. The magic numbers must be different, for example 1000 and 2000. I also recommend adding a comment to the orders, for example, A and B. I do that. Be sure to enter the magic number or comment for EA Hedger #1 in the Exclude EA Hedger #2 field, so EA Hedger #2 will skip orders opened by EA Hedger #1.
one more question Sergej, can i use 4 EA Hedger with 25 percent for each and can i exclude 3 magic and comment for the last EA Hedger ?
one more question Sergej, can i use 4 EA Hedger with 25 percent for each and can i exclude 3 magic and comment for the last EA Hedger ?
Yes, you can use 4 copies of EA Hedger. Example of settings for EA Hedger #3: Magic=3000. Exclude=1000;2000. Example of settings for EA Hedger #4: Magic=4000. Exclude=1000;2000;3000. Instead of excluding by magic, you can exclude by comment, you need to write a comment (always in parentheses), for example for EA Hedger #4: Exclude=(A);(B);(C).
Hi Sergej
Thank you for the udpate.
Could you please explain a bid more the settings and what they do?
in particular the Average Function, the Trailing Function and the Break Even Function.
When Hedging by Profit $, I can enter now tow or more values. eg -499.99 and -800. So if the Profit reaches -499.99 a hedge will be placed, if the profit further decreases to -800 a next Hedge will be placed. What would the step setting do?
Thanks
Stefan

Hello! Thank you for your helpful questions. Let me prepare the answers.
in particular the Average Function, the Trailing Function and the Break Even Function.
The Averaging function works as follows. For example, you have set% Hedge = 10%, Averaging Value = -5.0 and Number of Averaging = 3. Positions # 1 buy 0.10 and # 2 sell 0.20 are open for a total of sell 0.10. When hedging, # 3 buy 0.01 will open. If after opening Hedge order # 3 reaches a loss of -5 $, then the first averaging will be performed. Order # 4 buy 0.01 will be opened. If the price continues to move and the loss of hedge order # 4 will be $ -5. Order # 5 buy 0.01 will be opened. When the loss of orders # 5 reaches -5 $. Then order # 6 buy 0.01 will be opened. There will be no more averaging, since the number of averaging is set to 3. All Hedge orders will be closed by stop or take, if it is specified in the settings. I have attached a set file with the specified settings, you can download it and make a test in the strategy tester.
When Hedging by Profit $, I can enter now tow or more values. eg -499.99 and -800.
100;200;300;400;500;600;700;800;900;1000;
1100;1200;1300;1400;1500;1600;1700;1800;1900;2000;
2100;2200;2300;2400;2500;2600;2700;2800;2900;3000;
3100;3200;3300;3400;3500;3600;3700;3800;3900;4000;
4100;4200;4300;4400;4500;4600;4700;4800;4900;5000
I entered 50 such values and all of them were correctly recognized. I think this is enough to solve your problems. The Expert Advisor prints the values that were entered into the log. you can check this in the "Experts" tab or in the "Jornal" tab of the strategy tester.
In order not to enter 50 values, it is possible to automatically calculate steps. In the " > " parameter, enter 100, and in the "Steps" parameter, set the value to 50. And the Expert Advisor will automatically calculate the 50 steps that I listed above.
The last value from the list is used for automatic calculation. If you enter 50; 100, then the advisor will calculate the following list of steps: 50; 100; 200; ...; 4800; 4900.
in particular the Average Function, the Trailing Function and the Break Even Function.
Trailing function. Trailing Start = 50, TrailingDistance = 30. When the total profit of Hedge orders reaches 50, then the stop will move by 20 (50-30 = 20). If the profit reaches 60, then the stop will be 30 (60-30 = 30).
Break-even function BreakEven Start = 50, BreakEven value = 10. When the total profit of Hedge orders reaches 50, then the stop will move by 10.
I recommend setting the values of these parameters with a small margin in case of price slippage.
