Great scanner. Works well if you understand Ichimoku and know how to configure it.

Please can explain how the support and restistance settings works and best way to use them. It is not covered in your tutorial.

Hi, Yes I added that feature in a later version. So it's not in the video :)

Ichimoku shows current trend and best possible time to trade is when price is trending above or below Kumo cloud.

But sometimes if price is about to reach Support/Resistance it might reverse.

So, if Support/Resistance is true, Scanner will check if price is near any Support/Resistance.

It will use "Min Distance From S/R" variable for that particular TimeFrame.

If price is too close to any Support/Resistance then you will see a black diamond. If price is away from S/R you will see white diamond.

If you constantly see black diamonds it means you might have set MinDistance values too high. Lower timeframes will require lower values.

e.g: If "Min Distance From S/R" is "100,200,300" and TimeFrames are "H1,H4,D1"

Then for H1 it will check if Support & Resistance lines are at least 100 points away.

So if you are using EURUSD and nearest support is at 1.11000 it will check if price is at least 100 points above that. So above 1.11100.

I message you the Support/Resistance indicator I used for my calculations if you like.

The developer is very helpful and responsive to queries and provides prompt feedback and changes requested if it is within reason. Good job, keep up the good work Abir. I have been looking for a configurable Ichimoku scanner for a long time. All it needs now is a multi timeframe trend filter so that signals are filtered according to higher timeframe trend.

I agree, that would be awesome addition!  I would like to alerted only when (example) the M15, H1, H4 all align (sometimes I'll also include the D1).

Hi; Can you send me the Support/Resistance indicator what you used for your calculations ?

it is Great scanner. Works well if you understand Ichimoku and know how to configure it.
- Please can explain how the support and restistance settings works and best way to use them and also stochastic settings ?

- Can you send me the Support/Resistance indicator and stochastic what you used for your calculations ? I always work on H1.

I was very specific in the description that you need to create a template file and in properties specify that template name to open it in a new window.

In my video too I have mentioned it, how to create a template file. Here's an excerpt from my product description:

Use Template for New Window: Template name without ".tpl". Eg: Create a file Template1.tpl in templates folder and here specify: "Template1".

(only works if previous property set to true). Does not work if on button click is set to open in current window because otherwise you might lose your current window indicators or existing dashboard settings.

I really wish that you had waited for me to reply in private comment before writing a comment like this here in common area.

I would have been happy to help you out.

If you need, please write to support or service desk and get a refund if you must.

But my product works exactly like in description.

What TF does the Stochastic alert filter work on, if the alert is set for when TFs align? Is it the smallest TF in the Align Group? or any TF signal or what? Please explain! Thanks.

Hi,

The stochastic alert filter works on all timeframes. And you can set any TFs in Align group also. Dashboard will allow all checks. For higher TFs and lower ones too.

But the best strategy example is: Suppose you are usually trading timeframe M15 and M30, then in "Timeframes" property set: M15,M30

And in "Check Timeframes for Align" set current and higher timeframes.. e.g.: M30,H1,H4

In above example: For M15 column, it will check all timeframes: M15 aligned with M30,H1,H4

And for M30 column it will check M30 aligned with H1,H4.

This strategy is trend based and useful to see that higher timeframes are also trending in same direction. It will give fewer signals but more accurate ones.

But if you like to make smaller trades and do scalping, then you can set the align check to false.

so if Stocastic condition is met on 1 timeframe it will give alert?
