yes, both can be set as  exponential (EMA). You can select the Smoothed or Linear Weighted methods as well.

Hi,

I have found that sometimes it does not work. I have had it work, and now it has just stopped sending alerts.
Is there a possible reason you can think of? Will other scanners interfere to prevent it perhaps?

I have switched from Live to Demo accounts and changed several parameters to try to get it working again. Can you confirm that it just needs to be applied to one chart for it to scan the whole Market Watch data list? What if it is applied to all charts?

Hi Aniel and thanks for your message. 

I have noticed in some rare cases that having other scanners on the the same chart could cause the alert function to get stuck somehow. It is also recommended to have the scanner on a clean chart (without oscaillators and other stuff) which you are not actively working with (changing timeframe and/or symbol). I would put in on a EURUSD M5 chart. If you will still experience problems then please if you can send a private message (PM) to me where you have attached a screenshort of your indicator parameter settings.

And yes, it is enough to apply the indicator to one chart to scan the symbols which you have written in the symbols parameter. If you would like to monitor a second crossover combination you can also drag the indicator to a second chart.

You answer was of help. I installed it on another version of MT4 without problem

Having followed your instructions for use on a clean chart, and the best settings, it is not working on my original PC running other scanning software experts and advisors. I fear these have killed it, since I am using the same settings that work on the other new MT4 platform. Surprisingly really, since I get alerts from two other minor indicators (although they are not scanning the market Watch list).

I have the following questions;

1. Is it working on commodities?

2. How the email alert is set up, do you use specific server to send emails or using the regular setups in MT4?

3. Up to how many pairs can observe? 

Hi Martin and thanks for your message.

1. It will work on any symbol which is offered by your broker and which you have made visible in your Market Watch window.

2. I am using the regular email setup in MT4.

3. By design in MT4 the character limit of a text (string) parameter is 255. You can put more characters but when reading the value it seems like that MT4 cuts at 255. But I have read many articles about this subject saying that in fact sometimes it can work with more. Anyway, 255 characters will allow for 42 symbols if the symbol lenght is 6 characters. If you need more you can always drag the indicator more times to a chart.

One more clarification here. In that case 42 symbols/pairs have to be in the same timeframe for example 1day.

Are you planing to develop this one for MT5? I have troubles to connect my smtp email with MT4 due to ssl restrictions which are not supported by MT4 so no use if I don't get the notifications.

what is the effect of turning the below 2 parameters on / off?

• Enable RSI filter: True or false.
• Signal only when RSI is between the buy and sell level: The alert will be sent only if the RSI level it between these values (please see below)

Hi Eckhart and thanks for your message.

Setting the 'Enable RSI filter' to True means that that the alert will only come if the RSI (on candle shift 1) is below the 'RSI sell level' value in case it was a bearish MA cross (fast MA crossing slow MA from above). And vice versa for bullish MA cross of course.

The Between setting works so that having RSI sell level set to 40 and RSI buy level to 60 would generate an alert whenever a crossing occurs where RSI is between these values. A RSI value of 61 would not generate an alert.

i just bought the indicator but when i load it on the chart going to symbol settings,only see 9 currency pairs can i add other currency pairs by adding the currency symbol? and is there a user manual
