Hi. It is not clear, depends on the currency pair, trading time, volatility, the intensity of price change of the pair and other factors. But as a recommendation do so - choose the period as much as possible, but not more than the period of the expected payoff. And with a quiet market and on small timeframes the default value (period 10) is suitable to reduce false signals.

if possible, choose a period which includes the latest highs and lows

I just purchased your indicator, looks good, but to use it properly I  need to understand all of the functions of it. What does it mean “resistance line - "level of market resistance power"?? How it helps in my trading? What does it tell me? Thanks

Здравствуйте. Это линия показывает тот уровень, который является пределом для разворота, то есть насколько должна вырасти сила противоположной стороны, чтобы рынок поменял свое направление.

На примере: Когда тренд нисходящий, то линия сопротивления показывает то значение, которой нужно достичь покупателям, чтобы тренд перешел в боковое движение, а если линия преодолевается синей гистограммой, то это можно принимать как сигнал на разворот для выбранного вами периода.
