Signals at default settings does not look much promising. Can you suggest some better values for period and volatility

Market is dynamic. Signals can look bad today, but good tomorrow or vice versa. That is why it is recommended to combine this tool to other confirming filters.

This tool gives many signals, so you can choose which one to trade based from your choice of filter.

You can increase the volatility settings so decrease number of signals. You can increase volatility to 0.50 or 0.75.

But the default settings is far the recommended, you just need to add a filter to avoid false signals. One simple example is a MACD indicator.
