Develop a Risk-Controlled Automatic Gold & Forex Trading EA for MT5 (MQL5)

PROJECT: Automatic Gold and Forex Trading Robot for MetaTrader 5 (MQL5)

I want a fully automated Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5 that can analyze the market and automatically open, manage and close trades on Gold and selected Forex currency pairs.

1. TRADING INSTRUMENTS

• Gold: XAUUSD
• Forex: EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY, subject to broker availability.
• Allow the user to enable or disable each trading symbol.
• Support configurable timeframes.

2. TRADING STRATEGY

• Before coding, propose a clearly defined and testable trading strategy.
• Explain the entry conditions, exit conditions, indicators and timeframe.
• Use configurable technical indicators and filters.
• Avoid opening trades without a valid signal.
• Do not claim guaranteed profits.
• Get my approval of the proposed strategy before implementing it.

3. AUTOMATIC TRADE EXECUTION

• Automatically open Buy and Sell trades when the approved conditions are met.
• Set Stop Loss and Take Profit for every trade.
• Support configurable risk-to-reward settings.
• Avoid duplicate orders and unintended repeated entries.
• Check spreads, trading hours and broker execution restrictions.
• Handle rejected orders and trading errors safely.

4. RISK MANAGEMENT

• Default risk per trade: 0.5% of account equity.
• Allow configurable risk per trade, with a maximum setting of 1%.
• Maximum daily loss: 2% of starting daily equity, after which new trades must stop.
• Maximum overall drawdown limit: 10%, with a configurable emergency stop.
• Limit simultaneous positions and total open risk.
• Include a daily loss counter and an emergency trading-disable option.
• Calculate position size based on stop-loss distance and account risk.
• Never increase lot size automatically to recover losses.
• No martingale, grid averaging or unlimited lot increases.
• Do not open new trades if required Stop Loss protection cannot be placed.

5. TESTING AND REPORTS

• Provide backtesting using the MT5 Strategy Tester.
• Test Gold and each supported Forex pair separately.
• Include realistic spread, commission and swap assumptions where applicable.
• Provide a report showing net profit, maximum drawdown, profit factor, trade count and win rate.
• Use separate in-sample and out-of-sample historical periods.
• Explain the limitations of historical testing.
• Fix coding errors and demonstrate the EA working on a demo account.

6. USER SETTINGS

• Adjustable risk percentage, Stop Loss and Take Profit.
• Adjustable trading symbols and timeframes.
• Configurable trading sessions and spread limits.
• Maximum daily loss and maximum drawdown controls.
• Enable or disable Buy and Sell separately.
• Clear status messages and error logs.

7. DELIVERABLES

• Complete MQL5 source code (.mq5).
• Compiled EA file (.ex5).
• Installation and configuration instructions.
• Default settings file (.set), if applicable.
• Backtest reports and test evidence.
• Instructions for running the EA on MT5.
• Fixes for bugs found during the agreed testing period.
• I must receive the source code and the agreed ownership or usage rights.

8. DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

• First provide the proposed strategy, technical plan, fixed-price quotation and delivery timeline.
• Implement only after I approve the strategy and scope.
• Demonstrate the EA before final acceptance.
• Do not connect to external accounts or charge for additional services without my approval.

IMPORTANT: The objective is to build a reliable, risk-controlled trading robot, not to promise guaranteed profits. Start with a testable MVP and make all trading decisions transparent and configurable.
