Project Description: Development of a Flexible, Conservative Algorithmic Trading Strategy (Expert Advisor) – Focus on XAUUSD (Gold)

I am looking for an experienced developer to create a MetaTrader Expert Advisor (EA) focused on a stable, low-risk, and highly adaptable trading strategy.

Objective:
The primary goal is capital preservation, low drawdown, and consistent performance over time. The strategy should be robust and adaptable to different market conditions.

Trading Instrument:

• Primary: XAUUSD (Gold)

General Conditions:

• Use of a high-leverage account (up to 1:500), but applied conservatively
• Very low risk per trade (typically <1%)
• No high-risk strategies such as martingale or uncontrolled grid systems
• Focus on long-term stability rather than aggressive returns

Performance Target (indicative, not guaranteed):

• Aiming for an approximate monthly return in the range of 10–20%, if achievable under low drawdown conditions

Key Requirements (Flexibility & Features):

The EA should be highly flexible and adjustable in multiple directions. Important parameters and features must be customizable:

• Risk Management:
  • Risk per trade (%)
  • Fixed or dynamic lot sizing
  • Maximum overall drawdown limit (hard stop)
• Entry/Exit Logic:
  • Configurable entry conditions (e.g., indicators, price action, or similar logic)
  • Adjustable Stop Loss / Take Profit
  • Optional trailing stop and break-even functionality
• Trading Time Control:
  • Configurable trading sessions (e.g., London / New York)
  • Ability to exclude specific days or time periods
• Position Management:
  • Maximum number of simultaneous open trades
  • Trade spacing / cooldown between trades
  • Optional partial profit-taking
• Market Filters (optional but preferred):
  • Volatility filter (e.g., ATR-based)
  • Spread filter
  • News filter (if technically feasible)
• General Flexibility:
  • All key parameters should be easily adjustable within the EA
  • The structure should allow future extensions and improvements

Development Requirements:

• Clear and logical strategy structure
• Clean, well-organized code
• Fully backtestable with meaningful metrics (including drawdown, profit factor, etc.)
• No over-optimized strategies (robustness is preferred over perfect backtest results)
