Strategy Logic

• If a candle closes above the EMA → open a BUY
• If a candle closes below the EMA → open a SELL

Inputs

1. Session Filter (New York Time)
   • Start time and end time
   • Must handle DST automatically
   • Only open trades within this session
     
     
2. EMA Period
   • User-defined (e.g. 20, 50, 100, 200)
     
     
3. Stop Loss Distance
   • User-defined
   • Must work correctly for:
     • Forex (pips)
     • Indices (points)
       
       
4. Risk-Reward (RR)
   • User-defined multiple (e.g. 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, etc.)
   • Take profit = SL distance × RR
     
     
5. Risk % Per Trade
   • User-defined (e.g. 1%)
   • Lot size calculated so SL hit = chosen % loss

Trade Execution Rules

• Entry is based on candle close
• Only 1 open trade at a time
• SL and TP set immediately on entry
• EA can open a new trade after the previous one closes

Additional Options

• Close trade on opposite signal (on/off)
• Close all trades at session end (on/off)
• Magic number

Key Notes

• Session filter controls entries only (unless “close at session end” is enabled)
• EA must work consistently across FX and indices
• No other indicators or filters required
