Description
I need an MT5 Expert Advisor developed for the ICC (Indication–Correction–Continuation) trading strategy.
This is a tested manual strategy that I trade profitably. I want it fully automated with the ability to backtest and optimize.
The EA must replicate the ICC logic:
-
Indication: Break of a swing high (for buys) or swing low (for sells).
-
Correction: Price retraces toward the broken level but holds structure.
-
Continuation: Entry once the correction completes, confirmed on a lower timeframe.
This system must trade XAUUSD (Gold) primarily, but should allow input to run on other symbols.
Requirements Specification
1. Trading Idea
✅ Market Context Rules
-
Trade only during London or New York sessions.
-
Only take trades in clear trending markets (confirmed on 1H/4H).
-
Do not take trades in consolidation or inside a no-trade zone (between last swing high & low).
-
Skip if high-impact news is about to release.
✅ Indication Rules
-
Bullish Setup: Price breaks above previous swing high (1H/4H).
-
Bearish Setup: Price breaks below previous swing low (1H/4H).
-
Do not enter on the breakout candle itself.
✅ Correction Rules
-
Price must retrace back toward the broken level.
-
Correction forms a higher low (for longs) or lower high (for shorts).
-
Correction must not violate market structure (price stays above last swing low in longs, below last swing high in shorts).
-
Prefer correction entry aligned with liquidity sweep/retest wick.
✅ Continuation (Entry) Rules
-
Entry is valid when:
-
On 15m or 5m chart, trend resumes in the direction of the indication.
-
Bullish: Higher low confirmed + bullish close above broken level.
-
Bearish: Lower high confirmed + bearish close below broken level.
-
-
Entry must offer at least 1:3 risk-to-reward.
✅ Risk Management Rules
-
Risk per trade = max 1–2% account.
-
Stop-loss must be placed below HL (for longs) or above LH (for shorts).
-
Maximum 3 consecutive losses → stop trading for the day.
✅ Trade Management Rules
-
Move stop-loss to breakeven once trade reaches +1R.
-
Scale out partials at first 1H swing target.
-
Leave runner to target 4H level if trend is strong.
-
If price fails to continue and forms opposite structure → exit early.
👉 Summary Rule:
A trade qualifies as ICC if:
-
The higher timeframe shows trend structure.
-
Price gives a valid Indication (break of prior swing).
-
Price Corrects without breaking structure.
-
Continuation entry forms on 15m/5m with clean R:R setup.
-
Trade market structure using ICC: Indication → Correction → Continuation.
-
Work on higher timeframe (H1/H4) for trend, with entries on M15/M5.
-
Only trade during London and New York sessions.
2. Terms and Definitions
-
Swing High/Low: Identified by fractal/pivot logic.
-
Indication: Breakout beyond last swing high/low.
-
Correction: lower timeframe Retracement to retest the level, without breaking opposite structure.
-
Continuation: Lower timeframe resumes the trend direction (higher low for long, lower high for short).
