MT4 Expert Advisor – Daily Trade Log Export to CSV

Project Summary
I’m looking for an experienced MQL4 developer to build a simple, efficient Expert Advisor (EA) that exports all closed trades from the current MT4 account once daily to a CSV file, with a specific filename format and field structure. This EA will be used in a live trading environment and must be stable and low-maintenance.  I’m happy to pay fairly for someone who delivers clean, reliable work.

Platform

• MT4 (MetaTrader 4)

• Broker Timezone: GMT+2 (Pepperstone UK)

Key Requirements

1. One-Time Daily Export

   • Automatically exports all closed trades of the current day at 23:58 server time (GMT+2).

   • The EA must detect the date internally (no input required).

   • Must only export once per day to avoid duplicates, even after VPS restarts.

2. File Format

   • Output as .CSV file with the following naming convention:
     YYYYMMDD.csv (e.g., 20250421.csv )

   • Files saved in: C:\TradingLogs\TradeHistory

3. Fields to Export

   • Ticket number

   • Magic number

   • Comment

   • Symbol

   • Order type (Buy/Sell)

   • Lot size

   • Open time (yyyy.mm.dd hh:mm)

   • Open price

   • Close time (yyyy.mm.dd hh:mm)

   • Close price

   • Stop loss

   • Take profit

   • Commission

   • Swap

   • Profit

   • Duration in minutes (difference between open and close)

4. Operation

   • Attach EA to any chart. It must remain active but execute silently.

   • No user interaction or GUI needed.

   • Log or file error only if the export fails.

   • Works on any account type (including hedging accounts with multiple positions open on the same symbol)

Additional Notes

• The EA should not remove itself from the chart after execution.

• Should handle VPS reboots or MT4 restarts without re-exporting the same day.

• No external libraries should be used—keep it native and robust.

• Fully commented .mq4 source code

• Compiled .ex4 file

• 1-2 rounds of revisions if needed after initial testing
