Summary of EA Requirements

I’m considering having an Expert Advisor (EA) developed and wanted to share a brief summary of the project’s key requirements before we move forward.

Overview:

Need an EA for MetaTrader 5 (MQL5) that trades major forex pairs on a 15-minute or longer time frame. The strategy should be built using the MT5 Expert Framework and include several layers of entry and exit filters to ensure high-probability trades.

Key Components:

1. Signal Generation:

   • Trend Filter:
     Uses a 100‑period EMA on the H1 or other time frames to determine the broad trend.
     
     

   • RSI Reversal:
     
     

   • Breakout/Breakdown:
     

   • 
     

   • Market Regime (ADX):
     
     

   • Moving Average Crossover :
     
     

   • Volume Filter :
     
     

2. Trade Management & Exits:

   • Partial Exit:
     If a trade makes 1.5 times the risk (1.5R) in profit, exit part of the position to lock in gains.

   • Time-Based Exit:
     If a trade remains open for more than 1 hour without hitting profit or stop-loss, automatically close it to avoid prolonged stagnation.

   • Dynamic Money Management:
     Position sizing is calculated based on risking 2% of the current account equity per trade, so as the account grows, the lot size increases proportionally.
