O EA deve identificar a variação positiva ou negativa entre o preço atual de um ativo e um preço anterior que corresponda a quantidade de pontos definidas em uma variável, para tomar a ação de compra ou venda desse ativo.

O EA deve ter as funcionalidades de determinação do tamanho do lote, seja fixa ou percentual do capital, take profit, stop loss, traling stop, fechamento e abertura de nova ordem no caso de sinal contrário.
