Now all the theories about how to trade forex are available on the internet, but it will take a lot of time to study them one by one until you find the forex trading theory that suits you.
There are many ways to learn forex trading:
1. Attend a seminar that costs thousands of dollars to learn a secret technique for 1-3 days, and after that you are confused about how to practice it. Because expertise in analyzing, making decisions to executing decisions requires years of experience. Not to mention if you encounter problems that are not taught at the seminar. Problem solving cannot be obtained by reading theory, but based on understanding and experience during direct practice.

I will not discuss how to do backtesting, because it is widely available on the internet, you just need to do some googling.
But I will discuss about the tools that will be used for backtesting.
